The vulnerability

What the bug is

There is a small window where the runtime suspend callback may run after pm_runtime_enable() and before pm_runtime_forbid(). In this case, a crash occurs because runtime suspend/resume dereferences qmp->phy pointer, which is not yet initialized: `if (!qmp->phy->init_count) {` This can also happen if user re-enables runtime-pm via the sysfs attribute before qmp phy is initialized. Similarly to other qcom phy drivers, introduce a qmp->phy_initialized variable that can be used to avoid relying on the possibly uninitialized phy pointer.

Where it lives

The fix touches these files. If the subsystem is one you do not use, the practical exposure is lower, though the package is still the vulnerable one.

What this is
ARM/QUALCOMM MAILING LISTMAINTAINERS section matched on drivers/phy/qualcomm/ · linux-arm-msm@vger.kernel.org

Check it on the machine

grep -wE 'CONFIG_GENERIC_PHY|CONFIG_PHY_QCOM_QMP_USB_LEGACY' /boot/config-$(uname -r)

Reads the booted kernel's own configuration, on the machine and nowhere else. =y is built in, =m is a module, and an is not set line means the code is not there.

Show whether Debian builds this, per release

Debian does not build this code in 4 releases. The build rule could not be established for 1 release, so nothing is claimed about those.

not enabled on any flavour - this release does not build the code

Where a release above reads "not established", no build rule for the affected file was found in that release's kernel tree. That is a gap in this lookup, not a finding that the code is absent.

all on means the file is compiled; any one off means it is not.

From the configuration Debian publishes for every kernel flavour it builds. It covers only the architectures Debian ships a linux-config package for, and nothing about a kernel you built yourself. Why the CNA scored it this way

The kernel CNA published no CVSS vector and no reasoning for CVE-2026-90282, which is why it is shown as unrated rather than given an invented score. 6,405 of the 20,413 CVEs here carry reasoning; this is not one of them.
