The vulnerability
What the bug is
The snd_usbmidi_us122l_output() picks a count of 2 on anything slower than high speed and never relates it to ep->max_transfer. The URB buffer holds exactly max_transfer bytes, so a device declaring a one byte bulk endpoint takes two bytes from snd_rawmidi_transmit(), and the memset that pads the rest computes 1 - 2 in int and wraps to SIZE_MAX. Only 0x800e and 0x800f are pinned to nine bytes. The US-122MKII at 0x0644:0x8021 falls to the default and takes usb_maxpacket(), which the USB core only clamps downward. The akai and novation output ops in this file were given the same guard recently. Do the same here.
Where it lives
The fix touches these files. If the subsystem is one you do not use, the practical exposure is lower, though the package is still the vulnerable one.

Check it on the machine
grep -wE 'CONFIG_SND|CONFIG_SND_USB_AUDIO|CONFIG_SND_USB_UA101|CONFIG_SND_USB_US122L|CONFIG_SND_USB_USX2Y' /boot/config-$(uname -r)Reads the booted kernel's own configuration, on the machine and nowhere else. =y is built in, =m is a module, and an is not set line means the code is not there.
lsmod | grep -w snd_usbmidi_libPrints a line if that module is loaded right now, and nothing if it is not. One that is not loaded can still be loaded later by anything that needs it.
Show whether Debian builds this, per release
Debian builds this, but not on every flavour. At least one release below builds the code on some of its kernel flavours and not on others, so the answer depends on the architecture and flavour installed.

Why the CNA scored it this way
The kernel CNA published no CVSS vector and no reasoning for CVE-2026-90033, which is why it is shown as unrated rather than given an invented score. 6,405 of the 20,413 CVEs here carry reasoning; this is not one of them.
