The vulnerability
What the bug is
After commit f8fce75fedf7 ("fuse: clear intr_entry in fuse_resend and fuse_remove_pending_req") the WARN_ON(!list_empty(&req->intr_entry)) in fuse_request_free() still triggers due to the following race: In request_wait_answer() if (test_bit(FR_SENT, &req->flags)) -> returns true In fuse_chan_resend() clear_bit(FR_SENT, &req->flags) In request_wait_answer() queue_interrupt(req) Fix by: - move clearing FR_SENT inside fpq->lock - move setting FR_PENDING inside fiq->lock - recheck FR_SENT after acquiring fiq->lock in fuse_dev_queue_interrupt()
Where it lives
The fix touches these files. If the subsystem is one you do not use, the practical exposure is lower, though the package is still the vulnerable one.

Check it on the machine
grep -w CONFIG_FUSE_FS /boot/config-$(uname -r)Reads the booted kernel's own configuration, on the machine and nowhere else. =y is built in, =m is a module, and an is not set line means the code is not there.
lsmod | grep -w fusePrints a line if that module is loaded right now, and nothing if it is not. One that is not loaded can still be loaded later by anything that needs it.

Why the CNA scored it this way
The kernel CNA published no CVSS vector and no reasoning for CVE-2026-80860, which is why it is shown as unrated rather than given an invented score. 6,405 of the 20,413 CVEs here carry reasoning; this is not one of them.
